SAS Verification of Eligibility
 
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Resident Applicants
 
If your school of residence is Hollywood High School and you are applying to our School for Advanced Studies program, follow all the instructions listed below under "Accepting Your Offer of Admission."
Non-Resident, Private School, Independent Charter and Non-LAUSD Applicants
 
If your school of residence is NOT Hollywood High School and you are applying to our School for Advanced Studies program, you must follow the procedures outlined on the eChoices website and verify that your student’s current school of attendance has submitted the required verification form.
 
For an applicant, previously identified as gifted/highly gifted by an LAUSD designated GATE psychologist, who is currently attending a private school, independent charter, or non-LAUSD school, the parent must submit a Verification of Eligibility form to ensure that the applicant is included in the District database.

Accepting Your Offer of Admission

 

To accept your admission into our SAS program, please contact our SAS/GATE Counselor and Coordinator, Ms. Gaspar at (323)863-5335 or email at [email protected]

 

To submit your enrollment packet for the School for Advanced Studies, there are two options are available: online or in-person

  1. Online: access your enrollment packet at https://enroll.lausd.net/ and upload the following documents: 
    • Verification of Residence 
    • Student Proof of Age 
    • Parent/Guardian Photo ID
    • Immunization Records

If available/applicable you may also submit copies of:

  • Transcripts or recent grade reports
  • Copy of most recent Individual Educational Plan (IEP) or Section 504 Plan
  • Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) 1399 Form or minute order
  • Department of Probation placement information and/or Juvenile Court minute order
  • Court orders regarding legal custody, physically custody, or restricted contact with the school or child

Once you have gathered these documents, click the "Enroll" button to begin the enrollment process.

  1.        In-Person: visit our campus to pick up or drop off your enrollment packet from our Attendance/Enrollment Office in Room 411. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Enrollment packets for the 2024-2025 school year are due by May 31, 2024.
