About Ms. Abad
Alissa Abad has been teaching mathematics for six years; this is her third year teaching at Hollywood High Performing Arts Magnet. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at The College of New Jersey and moved to California in 2014 to earn her Master's degree in Teaching from Claremont Graduate University. She began her teaching experience as a math teacher in a middle school in East Los Angeles, and she is grateful to continue to serve in the Los Angeles community. In her free time, Alissa likes to draw, paint, and play violin.
By taking ownership of your learning, you discover your own passions. As education opens the doors to those discoveries, Ms. Abad hopes her students will grow to have a greater appreciation for math and the arts, and in all a love for learning.
