I'm so excited to be a Lady Sheik and the principal of Hollywood High School! After living in New York City when I graduated from college, I escaped to the mountains and taught skiing in Aspen, Colorado. Next stop was LA. I came to Los Angeles to form a rock band and that's what I did. The band is called Che Blammo and KROQ and KLOS played my music. When I had my son, I decided to commit to education 100% and I became a SPED teacher at Millikan Middle School. From there, I decided to accept the promotion I was offered to become the Magnet Coordinator and I helped create the most sought after magnet school in the valley. Next decision was to become an assistant principal and I did this at Mark Twain Middle School and Hamilton High School. The natural progression would be a principal and I accepted the promotion to become principal at Cheviot Hills High School. The school was going to lose their accreditation, but I was able to put the school back on the map and it became a college prep high school since all the students I interviewed wanted to attend college. Now I'm here at Hollywood High School and I couldn't be happier. I have lots of exciting plans to share with our community. Check out our interviews which will be posted around the beginning of November on our Website and our Youtube channel. Plus join me when we conduct Coffee with the Principal. I like chai tea but you can have coffee when we meet! Take care- Dr. Reid
