On February 1, 2010, HHS period one Physical Education/Dance/JROTC will participate in helping the California Assn. for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance in partnership with the Heart World Record for: "Most People Jumping/Skiping Rope at the Same Time!: Currently, the Record is held by Australia at 59,000 people. CAHPERD hopes to lead over 80,000 PEOPLE (in celebration of CAHPERD's 80th Birthday), in "Jumping Over the Record from Down Under!" HHS will join in this participation event along with students all over the State of California in this special, one-time Commemorative World Record Event Jumping rope for three minutes on February 1, 2010. Our participation will mark the start of Physical Fitness Activity for Life-Long Health and Wellness. Our students will be taking the mandated Fitnessgram Test during the February - April window. Our teachers and staff will have the opportunity to look at: "How Fit Are You?" We will promote fitness, nutrition, and Health during the month of February, March, and April.
