CH 19 Reading Pages

Scholars,
I believe only p4 meets on the 14th so you must keep up with your HW each night! M-F-pgs 574-81, pgs. 582-88, pgs. 589-94, pgs., 595-600  & pgs. 601-04. Voila! We will also attempt our first full DBQ this week so look it over at home. We'll start it in class but I expect you read it and prepare your analysis as well.

Philosophes pri. sources

Today we'll read excerpts from Voltaire's Ignorant Philosopher and Candide, Rosseau and Adam Smith in class today.

CH 16 Holiday HW

On your day off please finish writing a one line synopsis for #5-9 primary source excerpts. I would encourage you to actually write the DBQ as you need as much practice as possible but I realize that you need to also take notes for Monday's test. How hard do you want to work? That's your decision.

CH 14 Test results

Congrats, both periods had an average test score of 70% with many A's. However the overall class averages are below that: p4 69%, p5 66%. Study!

AP Euro test schedule

CH 14: Age of Discovery test on Tuesday, the 15th. Study over the weekend!
CH 15: Age of Absolutism test on Monday, the 21st. Study over the weekend!

Thanks to all of my students for dealing with the loss of our A/C this afternoon when the temperature rose to 100f! This has happened the past five years at this time of the year for a few days due to our antiquated air con unit. I only wish the School Board member who was on campus today was aware of it.  Remember, we are moving to Room 429 for the rest of the week (9/10-11) till the technicians make it onto campus over the weekend (the typical response).
